I found these vintage 501’s scavenging my local vintage by the pound shop and decided to spruce them up a bit with some DIY distressing techniques and some patches that I cut from vintage fabric swatches I bought at SCRAP ( a fantastic re-use-it centre in San Francisco) and then hand sewed the patches on to the jeans. I love the boy friend denim look, it’s a great cut for gals with long legs like me because finding denim that is long enough is sometimes a bit of a struggle and with the BF style they are meant to stop around your ankle so you can get away with a shorter inseam. This whole revamp including the jeans and fabric cost me $15.00, such a cool way to have on trend jeans with out paying a bundle. Here is a link I used for some tips on distressing my jeans, enjoy! http://www.ruemag.com/decor-inspiration/distressed-denim-two-ways
